Every brand has a beginning, and ours is rooted firmly in the heart of West Yorkshire.
I'm based in Halifax — a town with a rich history, a strong community, and as it turns out, the perfect inspiration for a brand name. When I made my very first batch of wax melts, I needed a name that felt personal, meaningful, and memorable. The answer was right on my doorstep.
Halifax + Wax Melts = Haliwax.
Simple, honest, and completely ours.
How It All Began
It started, as many small businesses do, with a passion and a first batch. Those early wax melts were the spark that lit everything else — and once I'd caught the fragrance bug, there was no stopping it.
From wax melts, the range grew. Reed diffusers came next, filling rooms with long-lasting, subtle scent. Then came vac discs — a brilliant way to bring beautiful fragrance into your everyday cleaning routine. Each new product felt like a natural step, another way to bring gorgeous scent into people's homes.
And through it all, the name Haliwax stayed — a nod to where it all began and a reminder of those very first melts that started the journey.
What Haliwax Stands For Today
What started as a local passion project has grown into a full home fragrance brand, with a range that now includes wax melts, sizzlers, scented candles, room sprays, reed diffusers, vac discs, and more.
But the heart of Haliwax hasn't changed. Every product is still made with the same care and love as that very first batch — crafted to make your home smell truly beautiful.
We're proud of our Yorkshire roots, and we're proud of every customer who has chosen to bring a little bit of Haliwax into their home.
